Invisible locks

To break into a home, burglars attack the lock directly by trying to pick it.
Unless you have a really high-end door, it is not very difficult to overcome it, especially with specialized tools that are easily found on the web.

Standard cylinders only resist a few seconds to a professional.
Basic multi-point locks can be opened in less than 5 minutes.

There are A2P certified locks whose resistance to picking varies according to the number of stars:

• 1 star: less than 5 minutes of resistance
• 2 stars: between 5 and 10 minutes of resistance
• 3 stars: more than 15 minutes of resistance

Invisible locks are additional devices (in addition to the main lock) that significantly increase security.
After mastering the main lock, the burglar realizes that the door does not open. He cannot attack any other locking point since nothing is visible from the outside.
At this stage, the burglary is often aborted because it is not possible to enter the apartment without too much difficulty.

Make sure you have a door that is strong enough to not be broken down with a simple kick.

Invisible locks come in several models:

• Magnetic locks
• Interior bolts (with dual motors and backup batteries)

They can be controlled with remote controls, or with a simple relay that can be activated via Wi-Fi or by the alarm center.
Note that since invisible locks do not have mechanical keys, it is strongly recommended to double the unlocking system, for example with 2 relays connected in series, to avoid the risk of being "locked out"!
